Statement by Islamic Parliament of Iran's Permanent Secretariat of International Conference on Supporting Palestinian Intifada on Occasion of International Quds Day
Commemorating the International Quds Day, which was initiated by the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, to establish unity and cohesion in the Islamic world in order to counter the occupation of Palestine and liberate the occupied territories, the Islamic Parliament of Iran's Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference on Supporting Palestinian Intifada strenuously condemns the attempts by the system of global arrogance led by America and the Zionist regime to close the Palestinian case and the issue of refugees, viewing fighting against occupation and the holding of a referendum among the original inhabitants as the means for securing the rights of the Palestinian nation and ending the occupation of the land of Palestine.
On the 41st anniversary of the International Quds Day, the Palestinian question has entered a sensitive juncture in its destiny. The US president's Deal of the Century scheme, which is seized upon by the Zionist regime to annex the West Bank to the already occupied territories and practically marginalize the Palestinian nation, is a fire game which can explode gunpowder barrels in Palestine and in the region and seal the fate of the Zionist regime earlier than the 25-year date.
The US assassination of General Soleimani, who is praised by Hamas leader as the Martyr of Quds, is doubtless a beginning for greater victories, for the blood of the Martyr of Quds will expedite the liberation of Quds and occupied territories. The fear kindled by the Resistance in the heart of the Zionist and American enemy following general Soleimani's assassination has forced the enemy to resort to disruptive measures, such as the German government's measure against Hezbollah, to ratchet up pressure on the Resistance in order to divert public opinion from the International Quds Day.
Following the guidance imparted by the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khamenei, the Islamic Parliament of Iran's Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference on Supporting Palestinian Intifada supports the Palestinian cause and the Resistance as an Islamic and national duty, deploying the capacity of parliamentary diplomacy alongside resistance and political capacity to materialize the ideals of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the legitimate rights of the nation of Palestine.
