Date: 2018/12/08

Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA – Turkish Parliament Speaker Binali Yıldırım said on Saturday that fight against terrorism requires unity and cooperation and adopting double-standard polices should be avoided in attaining the goal.

He made the remarks at the second conference hosting parliament speakers from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, China and Russia.

Today's world is not busy with war, hunger, terrorism, interference and natural disasters, he said.

Yildrim said that these problems have directly affected problems between countries and the international system.

'Terrorism is not only limited to the Middle East region and is now considered as a global concern which will be eradicated
through collective contribution of all countries,' he said.

Tehran hosted the second conference themed fight against terrorism which is in conformity with our goals in fight against terrorism, he said.

After September the 11th and targeting Afghanistan, the nature of terrorism changed into a global one, he said.

Some 27,000 people were victimized last year in terrorist attacks, underlined Turkish parliament speaker.

Terrorists have moved in line with the policies of the imperialism and try to wage war, unrest and occupation through terrorism, he said.

He invited the neighboring countries to be more serious in fight against terrorism as they have not been uprooted yet.
